BSB 2023: Chapter I: Section 1

 (1) This Act may be called the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023.
(2) It shall applies to all judicial proceedings in or before any Court, including Courts-martial, but not to affidavits presented to any Court or officer, nor to proceedings before an arbitrator. Short title, application and commencement.
(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification, appoint.

 (1) इस अधिनियम को भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम, 2023 कहा जा सकता है।
(2) यह किसी भी न्यायालय में या उसके समक्ष सभी न्यायिक कार्यवाही पर लागू होगा, जिसमें कोर्ट-मार्शल भी शामिल है, लेकिन प्रस्तुत शपथ पत्रों पर नहीं। किसी न्यायालय या अधिकारी को, न ही किसी मध्यस्थ के समक्ष कार्यवाही को। संक्षिप्त शीर्षक, अनुप्रयोग और प्रारंभ।
(3) यह उस तारीख से लागू होगा जो केंद्र सरकार अधिसूचना द्वारा निर्धारित करेगी।
